10 Selections for Steam’s 2019 Autumn Sale / Black Friday

Although I am hesitant to judge prices, I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I briefly scanned the my Steam library of games I enjoyed in 2019 and 2018, followed by checking the sale value in order to put together this list.

Steam’s 2019 Autumn / Black Friday sale lasts from November 26 – December 3 @ 10am PST.

For Your Steam Library Consideration…

Islanders

Islanders is a nice relaxing strategy game about building structures in an efficient way to get a high score. I would categorize it as a puzzle game. This one of the best indie games of 2019 and I’m disappointed it hasn’t gotten more accolades.

Degrees of Separation

Degrees of Separation is a game I played and reviewed in early 2019. This is a puzzle game with a great premise that has a beautiful soundtrack. It can be played solo. but is probably best played co-op. I generally enjoyed my playthrough and if you’re a puzzle gamer then this one is for you.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove!

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! is based on the original ToeJam & Earl series. If you haven’t played the originals that’s fine, I didn’t (shame face), because this is easy to jump into. There is a lot of good quality to this game and I feel it flew under people’s radar earlier this year.

Killer Queen Black

Killer Queen Black is a great multiplayer game that is easy to learn and pumps up your adrenaline. I had no idea about this game before, but it’s really fun and has party cross-platform functionality now implemented. This is definitely one of my top indie games of 2019. (The below widget is for a single buy, but you can also buy a four pack also for you and your friends.)

Evolution Board Game

Evolution is a digital version of the board game you may have heard of or played before. This was one of my most surprising games of 2019, as I never played it before, but the development seem is clearly committed to making this a great digital experience. It also has cross-play between PC and mobile. If you’ve never played Evolution that’s fine, the game does a great job teaching you and it has a competitive multiplayer also.

Wandersong

Wandersong was my 2018 Game of the Year, so that’s why I have to recommend this. The storytelling of Wandersong and the different gameplay mechanics and characters make this a truly memorable experience along with the nice soundtrack.

Into the Breach

Into the Breach is a great strategy game that seems compact and simple at first glance, but there is so much complexity to the game that makes it have incredible replay value. This is a hard game to master, but a game any turn-based strategy enthusiast must have in their library.

Semblance

Semblance is a very interesting puzzle game I played in 2018 that has a great concept of transforming both yourself and terrain in order to solve puzzles. It sounds weird at face value, but is actually very cool and interesting as you play the game. Consider Semblance if you’re puzzle gamer.

Milanoir

Milanoir is a game from 2018 that I feel is criminally underrated because the storytelling is absolutely amazing and I view this is a 2D-Uncharted. Although the gameplay can be rough, the gameplay isn’t insurmountable as even I, someone who sucks at twin-stick games, was able to beat this and enjoy it. The soundtrack is also pretty good.

Two Point Hospital

Two Point Hospital is one of my favorite games of 2018. I really enjoyed this game in 2018 and I’m glad to see this have a good sale so more people can have this experience. The game is very wacky, funny, and gives you total control to build and customize your hospital to manage it to achieve goals. I haven’t played any of the DLC packs, but the base game is enjoyable enough.
