GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the Sea of Thieves: Gameplay Walkthrough.

Louis Hughes says:

After years of being misused by Microsoft, the juggernaut, Rare, known for many classic games has the green light to create their own game. While many were hoping for a return of their dormant IPs, what we are given is an open world pirate game that relies on co-op. I had my doubts if the game can live up to the company’s standards, and the previous E3 showing didn’t help with the YouTubers screaming at each other. This time, the game was narrated with self-humor.

This alone is what makes me have faith in the game when the narrator was self-aware, which is the type of humor Rare is known for. The walkthrough did a good job of showing how important team work is and how fun pirate battles and treasure hunts can be. Having to solve riddles shows that the developers put a lot of thought into the game. I’ll be waiting on the island as this ship takes its time getting here.

Andre Calvert says:

I have to admit Sea of Thieves has me interested to the point of simply wanting to know how it turns out. E3 2016 had a very underwhelming scripted commentary showing of Sea of Thieves, which unfortunately hurt the narrative of discussion of the game after it was shown. This year the showing of Sea of Thieves was much more immersive and gave a much better sense of what to expect in the game. I’m personally not ‘hyped’ for the game, but I still need to see a bit more of how everything actually works, as well as the open world experience. I’m still not 100% sold this game will be successful on a console and I can see the Windows 10 limitation hurting the Sea of Thieves player base, as I am personally locked out and many other PC gamers who are still hesitant to make the jump to Windows 10.
