As someone who had been waiting for Cuphead for 2 years, so far this has managed to reach the expectations set by the trailers. So far during my playthrough Cuphead is playing flawlessly on a technical level, almost too good to be true, as it seems to have surprisingly very low PC requirements given the high quality animation. I am not finding the game to be “too hard,” but I did play games during the 90s so the level of difficulty seems similar. Yes, I’ve had many deaths so far, but each death is a learning experience for me, which makes a game like this tolerable.
I am taking my time with my playthrough, as I’ve read feedback of others who flew by the game in days wish they had not had a rushed experience, I am normally not crazy about these types of games, but the high quality animations and amazing soundtrack are huge motivational factors to keep me playing during the most frustrating times. If you are on the fence, play Cuphead. Cuphead provides an experience that I have personally not had in gaming… ever. Cuphead does have its flaws (debatable), but I will discuss my complete take on Cuphead in my future full review soon.

I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts
