Louis Hughes’ Direct Opinion: Nintendo Indie World Showcase – March 2020

After a brief break from the Animal Crossing: New Horizon direct, another special aired that centered on indie titles. I can say based on this Indie World Showcase there were a few games that got my attention otherwise I thought the event was just there.

The ones that interested me were Sky Racket, Moving Out, Blue Fire, Last Campfire, Summer in Mara, and Baldo.

Last Campfire will be something to follow, since it’s made by the No Man’s Sky team. Something that was brought up a lot during the presentation is that the majority of the titles are timed exclusives. As much I’m looking forward to these titles, with the lack of space my Switch has, I find myself buying these games on a different platform until I find a good deal on a 400 GB micro sd card, as my recently bought 256 GB is almost full.

Overall, once again, I thought the Direct was fine and a nice reminder that indie titles are always thinking outside the box for new gameplay experiences.
