Animal Crossing: New Horizons was supposed to be released in Holiday 2019, however the developers wanted more time with the game for fine tuning. The new set date was March 20, 2020.
If this doesn’t give you a clue for why I chose this as my favorite game of 2020, lets take a trip down memory lane. Back in March 2020, the world came to a halt with lockdowns going underway. With this, people were stuck at home with lots of free time. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is known as the game that helped people cope with isolation.
