Mass Effect: Andromeda (Xbox One)
Developer: BioWare
Publisher: Electronic Arts
I was excited when I heard about a new Mass Effect coming in the near future. My hype was hit after the controversy of Mass Effect 3’s ending, prompting BioWare to redo the ending via patch. So, I decided to keep my hopes in check, even though I couldn’t see anything going wrong with this game. When the game released I decided to wait for a sale, and during that time the reactions were mixed. The biggest complaint came from the facial animation and crashes. I bought Mass Effect: Andromeda on sale not too long after the patches were released. My experience with the game has been fun, despite the mid-freezes my playthrough gets with the latest patch. So why is this my most disappointed game? It is because of the glitches, crashes, and other hiccups. The crew did what they could to fix the mistakes via patches, but it wasn’t enough for the game, causing EA to move its team to other games, cancel upcoming DLC, and shelve my favorite Bioware IP.
