My Guerilla Collective 2021 Showcase Top 10 Selections (June 5, 2021)
The following games stood out the most to me during the Guerilla Collective 2021 Showcase of June 5, 2021. I’ll be doing individual trailer impressions for the following games soon, but I’m also including a short description of why I selected these games as part of my top 10 selections. There were many games that I generally liked that I will also be covering in the future, but these games interested me the most.
In no particular order:
The Eternal Cylinder
The Eternal Cylinder is probably the most interesting game of everything I saw in this showcase, The creature evolution and world features in the trailer seem very unique, but the world seems big and that’s what intrigues me.

Rubi: The Wayward Mira
Although Rubi: The Wayward Mira may seem like a clone of games we’ve seen in the past, this one does have a more unique appearance to it. The pixels look well done, but I’m what I’m most interested in is the combat and boss fights.

Industria
Industria is probably not my type of game, but I do cover games that deserve shine. This does give a lot of Half-Life vibes, with a lot of care to the enemy and world surrounding the player. Not many indies I can think of that look as good as this in this genre.

Ultra Age
What pulls me in with Ultra Age is the action gameplay with abilities at your disposal as shown in the trailer. Looks very fast-paced and something that I could get lost in for hours and hours smashing buttons.

Chernobylite
Chernobylite is a game that I will probably not play due to its genre, but it deserves spotlight for the quality of the game. This game seems unique due to the fact it’s an RPG survival horror game. These types of games scare the crap outta of me, but maybe I decide to try this out one day because the graphics and gameplay systems we can see in the trailer seem interesting.

Lamentum
Lamentum is a game that is probably not my genre, but another game that deserves spotlight. This definitely seems like a 2D Resident Evil. Although I avoid these types of games, the 2D aspect of this may get me to play it. I am really impressed..
