GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the A Plague Tale: Innocence – Story Trailer.

Andre says:

This trailer titled A Plague Tale: Innocence – Story Trailer is not just a surprise to me, but makes me believe this game could be a big hit this year. A story set in the middle ages during the plague, featuring two children named Amicia and Hugo, have avoid deadly rats and escape from The Inquisition. This is a very historical premise for a video game that we don’t see too often, but the games we’ve seen before (The Last of Us) with a similar premise in escape and survival have been big hits before.

Premise alone doesn’t do this game justice, as the trailer you see here shows great voice acting and relatively good graphics, but certainly not top of the line, in this game published by Focus Home Interactive. The audio with the animations do seem a little off, but that can be forgiven as you get easily captivated by the presentation of this title and its characters. This trailer is a great example of how trailers need to be made, as it presents everything in a way that is easily digestible for the viewer, although it does leave me with a sinking depressing feeling due to the subject matter. On top of all that, the song in the trailer fits the game’s perfectly.

A Plague Tale: Innocence was certainly a game to watch in 2019, as I am very interested in seeing what the finished product turns out to be. Whoever put together this trailer deserves praise.
