GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the Chasm teaser trailer.

Andre Calvert says:

Chasm is a ‘kickstarted’ game from 2013 that has been very anticipated by many gamers. This Chasm teaser trailer is the newest one, and it gives off vibes of the Castlevania series. Although the actions of what’s happening in the trailer isn’t unique to other indie games, the art style and pixels are what separate it from other games that try to achieve the same thing. The music in the trailer sounds great and you can clearly hear cool sound effects of the actions happening on screen, like fireballs or a cage lifting. These tiny elements help immerse a player into the game.

This trailer does a good job of showing off some of the bosses, and yes, they do look good. My greatest concern with this game is that it wont do enough to separate its gameplay from so many others that have come before this the last few years. This is a very crowded genre at the moment, but it still seems to be a popular one. In the end, I hope that Chasm is everything we hope it will be and can’t wait to play it.
