Trailer Impressions: Diablo Immortal Gameplay Trailer

I never thought I would be commenting on a mobile Diablo game before Diablo 4, but here we are…This Diablo Immortal Gameplay trailer appears to be a Diablo 3 mobile, showing almost identical graphics. I can’t stand. The game touts itself as being a mobile MMO, a genre that I don’t know will be that enticing. Although this is a gameplay trailer, the menu screens and inventory management are non-existent. Diablo Immortal, a game with no current release date, clearly in early development, as the microtransaction model is still shrouded in mystery, but if we know the history of NetEase (the outsourced developer), then it spells trouble for the game experience. A vapid trailer that shows almost nothing, with few details of the game structure, is a great departure from the Blizzard we have been fond of that releases games close to finished. Will I give Diablo Immortal a try? I don’t know, but I do know I hate playing games on my phone, especially these kinds of games. I will be following this game closely.
