GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the Disney Afternoon Collection – Announcement Trailer.

Louis Hughes says:

Nothing like the feeling of waking up Saturday mornings to watch your favorite animated programs as a kid. Well, that’s what it felt like when out of nowhere, Capcom released their trailer for the highly requested complication of Disney games based on hit shows. It helps with the trailer having the 8-bit version of the Disney Afternoon theme. Six games from the NES library, including (Ducktales),a game that got me into video games, with added features. The only feature I’m interested in is “Museum mode,” where you have access to behind the scenes material. Hopefully it’s not something you have to unlock like in Ducktales Remastered. With the collection coming soon, I was looking forward to this until the end.

If you haven’t noticed, I went from excited, to confused, and disappointed, as the complication is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Notice something wrong here? No mention of Nintendo platforms. Recently Capcom released Mega Man Legacy Collection for the same platforms, but it is available for the 3DS with a bonus gold Mega Man amiibo. What I am hoping is that Capcom is waiting to announce special features for the Switch/3DS version, because if not, this will be a huge mistake, as sales have proven that Xbox and Playstation owners aren’t fond of retro platform games as Nintendo owners. It should also be noted that unlike Rare Replay this collection is digital only, as I prefer physical copies.
