GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the Full Game List Reveal – PlayStation Classic.

Louis Hughes says:

Not too long ago, I wrote a trailer impressions for Sony unveiling their PlayStation Classic. While people were excited about the reveal, many questions were raised. The big one being, what the remaining lineup would be? This has been answered with their latest trailer showcasing the lineup to some weird music placement. The reaction to the lineup has been mixed, but I am surprised that Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, and Metal Gear Solid is on the list, due to the the fact the games are rated mature which may cause a dent in sales with retail being strict on the sale of mature rated material. Nevertheless, the titles I am generally surprised to see are Twisted Metal (prefer the superior sequel), Revelations: Persona, Rayman, and Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. Overall, I feel this is an interesting lineup. Since I have little history with the PlayStation library due to not owning the system, this lineup still has me interested in picking this up in December.

Andre Calvert says:

As someone who had a PlayStation growing up, but not an extensive library, I was interested to see what the library for this PlayStation Classic would turn out to be. While the collection features some interesting titles like Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, and Metal Gear Solid, the collection has some glaring omissions like no Tomb Raider, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, Gran Turismo, among others that are widely accepted as real “PlayStation Classics.” The Playstation Classic is also the most expensive of all the mini-consoles available, despite a mediocre lineup, which is probably a bigger turnoff for many. I will say however that the Playstation Classic might have a better two player lineup than the other console minis. I wont be a buyer of this, but I hope everyone enjoys the games included on this because there are some good ones on there.
