With the surprise announcement at E3 of Rocket League coming to the Nintendo Switch with cross platform support, it was only a matter of time until we saw exclusive content for the Switch version. This quick trailer shows off those cars. While the Mario and Luigi cars look okay, it is the Samus car that stands out. I see a lot of people using the Samus vehicle. I can’t help but notice when a third party game has Nintendo goodies they always go with the Mario franchise. It would be nice if third party developers could gain access to the goldmine of other Nintendo IPs.
Since Nintendo has become more lenient with other companies using their characters, I hope future third party games that decide to ask Nintendo permission go for something other than the Mario Bros. Who knows, maybe there will be more Nintendo extras in Rocket League and we only got a sample… I am looking forward to playing online with my PC friends while the Nintendo’s online service is free for a limited time.
