What I’ve Been Up To: The Steam Game Festival, The Last of Us Part 2, and Rest

This is the busy gaming season as far as news is concerned, but several weeks ago the Steam Game Festival on Steam happened with demos from many indie games and coinciding with that week of the festival was the release of The Last of Us Part 2.

I played many demos from the Steam Game Festival, but I also wanted to play The Last of Us Part 2 as fast as possible to avoid being spoiled. I am thankfully done with my playthrough from weeks ago, but that game really exhausted me mentally and drained my energy a bit. I record my Last of Us Part 2 thoughts either in a post or record them in a YouTube video relatively soon. I did not enjoy the story, but the game is a technical masterpiece. I’ll elaborate later.

The Steam Game Festival was really fun to take part in, but the unfortunate part about it was the large amount of demos I couldn’t get to play in time before they were taken down. That’s a whole other conversation and discussion, but I understand the idea of creating demand to get people to play immediately. Fortunately, I loaded my computer with a bunch of the demos and set my Steam to offline mode, so I am working through some of the demos right now that I want to make sure I play right now.

I will definitely be providing more post Steam Game Festival coverage of games that I played that are coming out very soon. That coverage will likely be video content.

Aside from that, I am trying to keep up with all the news and recharging my gaming battery for Ghost of Tsushima this Friday.
