Star Fox Zero Review (Wii U)

Like F-Zero, Star Fox is another Nintendo franchise where the company has no idea where to go with it. After mixed reviews of Star Fox: Assault and Star FoxCommand, the series laid dormant (besides Star Fox 64 being released for the Virtual Console). There was hope for fans when Star Fox 64 3D was released, as some saw it as Nintendo seeing if there is still interest in the Fox team (maybe Krystal).

E3 2014 ended with Shigeru Miyamoto playing a blurred Star Fox game. He stated that he had new ideas for the game, but would need help from an outside source. Fans were hoping the help would be Platinum Games after the praise they got for the Star Fox easter egg in Bayonetta 2. Our wish was granted during the Nintendo E3 2015 Treehouse; it was confirmed that Platinum Games is working with Nintendo to make Star Fox Zero, but fans were worried after hearing how the controls rely heavily on the Gamepad. Will Star Fox Zero help bring back the adventures of Team Star Fox or should they’ve stay retired?

Shadwen Review (PC)

Shadwen is a third-person stealth game in which a grappling hook wielding assassinette named Shadwen happens upon a young girl being harassed by a guard. The girl, named Lily, witnesses Shadwen kill the guard and thus can not be allowed to escape knowing what Shadwen looks like, but Shadwen isn’t about to kill a poor girl. Instead, she takes Lily with her, and together they make their way towards the castle. Almost a sort of stealth sandbox, Shadwen puts an interesting spin on the stealth genre using time manipulation.

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest Review (3DS)

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is a turn by turn, grid based, strategy game with RPG elements. Part of a set of three, along with Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations; Fire Emblem Fates tells the story of a prince raised in the kingdom of Nohr, who learns that his true parents are those of the royal family of a rival nation called Hoshido. Faced with a choice, the young prince must choose to either help his foster family conquer Hoshido or join his birth family to defend against the invading Nohrian forces. Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest shows the result of the young prince choosing to side with the family that raised him in Nohr, and is also considered the hardest of the three, and for a good reason. Will the young prince be victorious or will his conviction falter? That is something that only fate and a brilliant tactician can decide.
