Wargroove was one of my Most Anticipated Games of 2018, but the game wasn’t ready to be released until 2019. Ever since the announcement of this turn-based strategy game resembling Advance Wars, I’ve been eagerly waiting for it to be released because there haven’t been any recent games in that franchise. While Fire Emblem is a more complex version within the genre, Wargroove, to me, has a certain kind of charm to it because it’s an indie game and developed by Chucklefish.

Wargroove brings not just a campaign, but cross-play multiplayer and an editor that has me truly excited to play it. I can’t wait to see what type of creations come from the editor and how competitive the multiplayer turns out to be. Rarely are games packed with lots of replay value and content, but that’s what Wargroove appears to be and I hope it lives up to the expectations of all the trailers and information.
