E3 2017 Trailer Impressions: Call of Duty: WWII – PS4 Multiplayer Reveal

I will never be a strong advocate for the Call of Duty franchise because every year seems almost the same, but this trailer for Call of Duty: WWII shows that the franchise can still be made interesting. The World War II setting of Call of Duty is not just a different direction, but if done right it can pull in folks like me. Granted, I don’t know if I would dive into a Call of Duty multiplayer experience, but a single player story? Sign me up.

Call of Duty is still a popular franchise, but not as much as before. I haven’t been following details about Call of Duty: WWII, but a World War II story could be appealing from a historical perspective, if done right. Are the right guns for that time period included? This is a well put together trailer that shows fast-paced multiplayer action in different types of terrain, but not many gameplay details. I am curious to see if Call of Duty: WWII is a new direction in anyway, or just a brand new aesthetic that doesn’t deviate from the earlier versions we’ve heard about all the time.
