GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Official Game Trailer.

Louis Hughes says:

Back in 2011, three JRPG games for the Nintendo Wii were slated to be released in Europe and Japan with no North American release. Fans hoped to change that with a peaceful campaign known as “Operation Rainfall” to bring the games stateside. After months of waiting, Nintendo confirmed that the games would be released in America. Xenoblade Chronicles was one of those games and became a hit with its story, open world with little drawn in, and a great real time battle system.

With the sequel upon us, the trailer shows us more of the open world with little peeks into the battle system. But what’s surprising to everyone is that it plans to release this year. Many (including myself) believe that the game would be pushed back to 2018 because of Super Mario Odyssey. While I feel it may come out this year, I will wait for the official date to set it in stone. I am slightly worried for the localization, as the voices didn’t sound up to par with the previous game.
