GameReviewPad’s Favorite Game with a Unique Concept in 2019:
Baba Is You
I played many good games with nice unique concepts in 2019, but Baba Is You stood out above them all that really fit the criteria of a puzzle game that I had not played before. The puzzle genre is hard to reinvent into something interesting, which is why this shines so much. Moving from puzzle to puzzle in Baba Is You means you will be solving equations in the form words and objects by pushing them around as Baba to reach the flag to win the game. The presentation of Baba Is You is very well done for the player, as there are many different objects in the game with different level themes to provide a great variety of puzzles as you move from level to level and world to world. One of the reasons why I selected Baba Is You as “GameReviewPad’s Favorite Game with a Unique Concept” is because the game’s concept can easily be sold to anyone.
