Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Closed Beta Trailer Impressions
Release Date: Not Yet Announced
GameReviewPad contributors give their thoughts on the Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void Closed Beta trailer:
Andre Calvert says:
As a long time fan of the Starcraft franchise since the very beginning, I am very optimistic that Blizzard will end the Starcraft 2 trilogy with a bang. This Legacy of the Void closed beta trailer gives a bit of a glimpse of what Legacy of the Void will have to offer. One of the modes mentioned in the trailer that I feel is a great addition to the game is Archon mode. Archon mode allows two players to control the same base in a 1v1 match, but it’s technically a 2v2. This will be a great utility to use for coaching and coming up with fun strategies in a 1v1 game that two human hands can’t pull off in a regular 1v1 match.
Legacy of the Void will also change the economy and pace of the game drastically by starting games with twelve workers instead of six. That change alone will be a huge difference maker to the game. The action in games will pick up quicker, which is just what I need as a swarmy Zerg player! I admit I’m partial to Zerg, but how can you not be pumped for Zerg when you see that corruptors can now take a piss on buildings for huge damage, lurkers are returning, swarm host locusts can now fly, and roaches can morph into an artillery unit called a “Ravager”! Of course this is a closed beta, so things can change, but I’m liking what I’m seeing so far!
