Very few trailers get me this excited to play a game. Even more so when the game was something you expect to see at E3. What started as something unknown, at the beginning, but once Mario popped from the sewer and displayed the open environment it had me wanting this game. To see the game go back to the style of Super Mario 64, the visuals looked amazing and I can only imagine how much better the game will look in real time. Usually, there’s a feature in a Mario game to have it stand out. When Mario goes into a hat shop I knew his cap was the key.
This game looks to have the style of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy blended together. What makes it interesting is that even though Bowser kidnaps Peach again, they have him decked out in a suit from the Japanese New 3DS ads. All is well with the trailer until the announcement of a Holiday 2017 release. I was slightly sad until I realized this will be the game to sell Switch units for the holiday season. Now, we can only hope Nintendo will keep up with the Switch demand.
