GameReviewPad gives their thoughts on the This Is the Police 2 – First Gameplay Trailer: ‘A Tooth for a Tooth’.
Andre Calvert says:
This Is the Police 2 – First Gameplay Trailer: ‘A Tooth for a Tooth’
is a very good trailer that does a good job of showing what This Is the Police 2
is as a game. The trailer has a very smooth jazzy bluesy soundtrack in the background that adds to an atmosphere of a great trailer. Since this is a gameplay trailer we see gameplay, and the gameplay is vastly different than This Is the Police
. As seen, this is more of a micromanagement strategy game now, giving players control of their units with different commands. The first installment of the franchise didn’t peak my interest because it was more of a simulation, while the sequel seems rich with customization.
During this trailer you can see a wheel of different choices of actions a player can make, and this just makes me more interested in the game. What I am hoping for in this game is the ability for different choices to be made and have different branching stories with different consequences for action. This new customization does open up questions as to how the game will handle certain situations, especially during the current climate in the United Starts concerning policing. How Weappy Studio handles that will most likely at least partially dictate the success of the game. The art graphics are on point, and everything looks like an improve over the first game, and now we need to see everything work together into a cohesive game. I am interested to see how the finished product looks. This Is the Police 2 is creeping up on many people, and it wouldn’t be surprising for me to see this be a hidden gem of 2018 that nobody saw coming.
