Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious Review (Xbox One)

Movie tie-ins with videogames have become an interesting topic; movie companies feel they can make a quick buck off of fans of the movie, while the gaming companies have to rush development to release within the movie’s release date. Results are usually not that great, with a few exceptions (LEGO games, James Bond). It only made sense with the latest (should’ve been the last), Fast and Furious movie to give fans a chance to drive modified versions of vehicles we can only dream of, since we don’t have that type of bank account. Forza Horizon 2 was released first last year in late fall for Xbox One and Xbox 360, while the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious edition (standalone) was released a month prior to the new movie. Will this standalone game let you ride like family, or will you want to crash and burn?

Lost Dimension Review (PS3)

A key factor many games try to encapsulate is the desire for gamers to replay their game over and over again. The problem is that games attempting to do this lose some personality to the decision making mechanics or randomized elements. Lost Dimension is such a game that had that focus on replayability in mind. Far Cry 4 Review (PC)

Far Cry 4 is a first person shooter, open world, RPG, set in the stunning Himalayan mountains. It’s in a map filled with hidden caves, dangerous wildlife, fortified outposts, and jaw dropping vistas. So put your wing suit on because it feels good, and let’s liberate Kyratt from the clutches of Pagan Min.

J-Stars Victory VS+ Review (PS4)

When J-Stars Victory VS was first released for Playstation 3 it was only available overseas in Japan. Thanks to the high demand of fans asking for the game to make its way to North America, their prayers were answered with the release of the J-Stars Victory VS+ in western territories, which is a remastered English version of J-Stars Victory VS. J-Stars Victory VS+ is a 3D arena fighting game, featuring an all-star cast of anime heavyweights, such as Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, and Yusuke going head-to-head in frantic and fast-paced combat. This idea sounds great on paper, but does it all come together to craft a great game, or is this just another case of too much ambition and not enough execution?

LEGO Jurassic World Review (PS4)

LEGO Jurassic World is a game that I didn’t even know I was waiting for until I put it into my system. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a Lego game, and going in, I really didn’t know what changed over the years. These modern “collect-a-thons “ still shine bright and are really fun to play. Getting to explore the island of Isla Nublar really is a wish come true, even if it was only in Lego form.
