J-Stars Victory VS+ Review (PS4)

When J-Stars Victory VS was first released for Playstation 3 it was only available overseas in Japan. Thanks to the high demand of fans asking for the game to make its way to North America, their prayers were answered with the release of the J-Stars Victory VS+ in western territories, which is a remastered English version of J-Stars Victory VS. J-Stars Victory VS+ is a 3D arena fighting game, featuring an all-star cast of anime heavyweights, such as Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, and Yusuke going head-to-head in frantic and fast-paced combat. This idea sounds great on paper, but does it all come together to craft a great game, or is this just another case of too much ambition and not enough execution?

LEGO Jurassic World Review (PS4)

LEGO Jurassic World is a game that I didn’t even know I was waiting for until I put it into my system. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a Lego game, and going in, I really didn’t know what changed over the years. These modern “collect-a-thons “ still shine bright and are really fun to play. Episode 1 was nothing short of amazing; All of the characters were diverse and very likable, the voice acting was excellent, the soundtrack was booming, the gameplay was very involved and intuitive, and the presentation was stellar. Outdoing the success of that episode with the next installment should prove to be a difficult task. Then again, the good folks at Telltale Games have proven themselves time and time again. So did Tales from the Borderlands episode 2 build on the momentum of the first episode, or did the pressure prove to be too much?

Life Is Strange Episode 2 Review (PS4)

At the end of the first episode, our main protagonist, Max, found out the real reason behind her recurring nightmares. To make things even more complicated, it started snowing in Arcadia Bay, a very rare occurrence which has not happened for years. The tragic event from her nightmares will become reality in the future, and she bears the responsibility of finding out a way to prevent it from taking place, or at least warn people to avoid casualties. This episode takes place just a few days after the events that took place in the first episode.
