Louis Hughes’ Direct Opinion:
Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase – September 2020

While the past two Partner Directs have been mixed for some, the latest one shows that the Switch still has a few surprises in store for 2021.

It started off with the announcement of two Monster Hunter games; Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. After that, it was announced that a Monster Hunter Direct would proceed after the current Direct. What made this Partner Direct stand out is the amount of third-party JRPGs coming to the platform. The Direct ended with the surprise trailer of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. What made this even more amazing is that the game is available to purchase now, or you can wait and purchase the collector’s edition in physical form, which includes both games. Granted the collection is pricey, but they’re giving you so much content, I feel the price is worth it when it becomes available this winter.
