Favorite Game of 2018: 2064 Read Only Memories INTEGRAL (Switch)
When I saw the announcement trailer of this game coming to Switch, I was intrigued by the style of game being a point-and-click mystery game. I believe the timing was perfect, as I watched my friend play through Manic Mansion on NES, so I was itching to play this genre. Once I started playing, I had a hard time putting it down. The retro-bit style works well for the game, along with a good soundtrack and voice acting. The Switch version is the deluxe edition by including updates to the previous version, along with a side mission exclusive to the console. I chose this as my “Game of the Year” because of the good storytelling, three dimensional characters, and having multiple endings.
