Louis Hughes says:

There’s an old saying by someone, “third time’s a charm.” These are my thoughts (not sure if “react” has been trademarked) after watching the trailer to the latest TMNT game. After the failure of Turtles in Time Re-shelled and Out of the Shadows, this one looks to be promising only because these two words: Platinum Games. For those who don’t know, they are the company that makes fast-paced, arcade action games that sell OK.

Upon watching the trailer, I noticed they are using the same engine from Transformers: Devastation and that was a fun but short game. Hopefully the game isn’t being pushed to be released in time with the movie sequel so they can put some care into the game. Judging from the enemies shown, they are aiming this game at the crowd who discovered TMNT from the 80s cartoon and the comics. I just hope this game will erase the bad memories of those other two games. Who knows? Maybe it could be this generations Turtles in Time (SNES version or arcade).

Andre Calvert says:

Before I clicked the link to the trailer the only thing on my mind was, “Please don’t be a movie tie-in to the next Michael Bay TMNT disaster.” To my surprise, it was something completely different, with a cel-shaded look similar to Borderlands. I’m a big TMNT fan, so I was the sucker that bought Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows for PC in 2013, that was was also published by Activision, That game turned out to be a disaster due to the lack of post-release support by Red Fly Studio. I’m more optimistic this time around because it’s developed by Platinum, and it appears like TMNT is going back to the basics of why TMNT got popular in the first place. It’s supposed to be playable online for co-op, and if that works without a hitch crossing fingers, then I expect this to be good. I can’t wait to play this game!

Jeremy Kratka says:

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hold a special place in my heart, like most people. Platinum Games also holds a special place in my heart as far as game developers go, so seeing this trailer just makes me giddy unlike other TMNT recently related stuff to be announced. Growing up we had the TMNT arcade game on the NES and the spectacular Turtles in Time and of course, the comics, cartoon, and cheesy yet amazing movies. Each Turtle’s different personality will come a different playstyle so it will be interesting to see how they handle this game. Give me great gameplay, three friends, ridiculous bosses, pizza loving teenagers, and you have yourself a sale.
